Rice stuffed cabbage 🌱
This easy stuffed cabbage recipe can be made ahead of time and baked just before serving.
1/2 tbsp garlic (minced)
1 medium onion ( finely chopped)
400 g cooked rice
1 tbsp Italian seasonings
Salt to taste
Freshly ground black pepper to taste
Bring a large pot of water to a boil, and immerse the cabbage leaves until they are softened, set aside.
In a large pan sauté the garlic and onion until lightly golden brown then add the cooked rice , mix well .
Preheat the oven to 170 c.
Place a portion of the rice mixture ( about 2 tbsp) into the center of a cabbage leaf.
Roll leaf around filling.
Repeat with remaining leaves and mixture.
Pour the marinade sauce over the baking dish and around the top of the rolls.
Bake for 10-15 minutes .
